Getting rid of large items?
If you have a large item to dispose of, you can either:
- Donate reusable furniture to charity
- Share it with your neighbours on online platforms
- Take it to Regis Road Reuse and Recycling Centre
- Or we can collect it (there may be a charge for this service)

You can donate furniture to charity if it can be reused.
You can book free collections from British Heart Foundation or Sue Ryder.
Sharing via online platforms
Regis Road Reuse and Recycling Centre
You can bring your household recycling and rubbish, as well as larger items like furniture, to the Regis Road Reuse and Recycling Centre (NW5 3EW).
You do not need to book in advance if you want to visit this reuse and recycling centre by car, bicycle or on foot.
If you are coming in a van, trailer or stripped vehicle, you need to book in advance using our van booking system. This includes any vehicle without seats fitted in the back including minibuses with seats removed and crew cab type (pick-up) vehicles.

We can collect large items (bulky waste) that don’t fit in your bin, including:
• beds or mattresses
• broken furniture, like sofas or chairs
• extra bags of rubbish
How to book a bulky waste collection
Contact our call centre on 020 3567 8105 to book a collection.
Please note, we will only be able to collect items:
- from outside your home at street level – we are not able to collect from inside your home
- during the week (Monday - Friday)
Help to move items outside to the edge of your property (or the arranged collection point) can be provided by a separate handyperson service. (charges apply, free if referred by our WISH Plus service).
Prices
- £25 for 1 to 5 items (or up to 20 black bags)
- £50 for 6 to 10 items (or up to 40 black bags)
- £75 for 11 to 15 items (or up to 60 black bags)
- £10 for 1 or 2 large electrical items
You get two free collections a year if you’re a Camden resident and are aged 65 and over, or receive 100% Council Tax Support. Contact our call centre on 020 3567 8105 if you need any assistance.
You can book a free collection of large and difficult to handle electrical items with Clearbee. Visit Clearbee website or call 0330 088 1085 to book a collection.
For small electrical or electronic items, you may also use one of the recycling banks across North London.
Collections also available from houses or converted houses. We may be able to collect your small electrical items on the same day as your regular recycling.
